We recognized very early that we, as a middle-sized company, have to focus on Research and Development in order to procreate products with which we can distinguish ourselves from our competitors.

Since 1990 Vopelius Chemie AG has dealt with Research and Development with the following results:

Development of an electrolytic synthesis of tin salts and salts of the methane sulfonic acid.

Patenting of the TIN-COAT^® process for chemical tinning of motor pistons.

Development of an electrolytic process for the production of nickel hypophosphite and hypo phosphoric acid.

Development of a procedure for the recycling of sodium dichromate from used chrome bathes of electroplating shops.

Development of a hard chrome process for the production of functional resistant hard chrome layers using a catalyst of the third generation.

Development of a complete process for the electroplating of gravure printing cylinders for the graphic industry.

In future the following projects are planned:

Synthesis of a 3-value chrome component for use as passivation in the electroplating industry instead of 6- value chrome.

Development of an automatic dosing device for chromic acid for the constant bath guide during the electroplating process.

Development of a plant technology for continuous cleaning of chrome bathes during the thin sheet production.
